5 Attitudes You Can Learn From An Avid Bowler that Will Make You a Better Business Person!

My Family of Bowlers  Since my boys and husband are avid bowlers, I thought I would share how I believe that bowling actually relates to business, and how it can make you a better business person. Here are Five Attitudes That You Can Learn From My Bowlers on Being a Better Business Person: Practice. Practice. Practice. Did I say practice? Yes, I did. When you work on skills consistently, you get better. Bowling is no different than writing, or making a phone call, or painting. When you constantly practice and get better at certain skills things improve. For example; if I want to obtain more sales, I need to work on my cold calling. I need to get on the phone and start calling. I need to practice what I say, and how I reply to individuals when they reject me. I need to remember it’s a numbers game, and the more I do it the better chance I have of getting my foot in the door. In an article from Inc., there was research done on sportsmen and women, on average around 18...

About Me

The picture above is a recent photo of my Mom and Dad. These two people, I love dearly and would do anything for them. Growing up on a small rural farm, with three sisters and two brothers, they taught me right from wrong. They've inspired me to go after my dreams and goals. These two folks have been there through thick and thin. They've been partners with me in my business for many years, and I wouldn't have it any other way. In 1995, I started Dynamic Designs Unlimited, a marketing agency that helps businesses tell their story through websites, social media, promotional products and decorated apparel. My husband Bruce, along with my parents and me are all owners in the business. I have three boys, ages 15 (Brandon), 16 (Josh) and going to be 18 (Zach). I am very community-oriented and involved in several non-profit local and industry-related organizations. Two years ago, I decided to go back to school for my Bachelors Degree in Marketing (I have my associate's de...

Being a business owner is easy...said no one ever.

Recent golf outing we attended. New friends from our Sundrop Golf Outing. Left to right: Jim, my husband and business partner Bruce, Me and Mike. It's been over 25 years, and I have yet to find an easy button for business or life.  I grew up on a dairy farm in a rural community, Pulaski, Wisconsin (population 3,500). My Mom and Dad, have made me who I am today, and I am so grateful for them. They have taught me that you can do anything you put your mind too. Dreams do come true by working hard every day, never giving up, and making sure that laugh a little from time to time. It is my goal to entertain, educate and inspire you by everyday life stories as I live them out. I’ll be transparent. I’ll be honest. Sometimes I’ll even share some humor, but most of all I’ll be me.
